My friend ask me to help him make a computer so i have a budget of 800$ but i want your opinions on the part i selected.thanks!

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Mild Gaming, Web Surfing, Mostly watching HD movies

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

Intel and Nvidia :P The rest are okay

Yes, but i didnt see any thread with the same setup as we wanted

Uhh do you want to use the NVIDIA motherboard chipset or NVIDIA GPU? Or both? Because right now, Intel's chipsets are better and cheaper than what NVIDIA has to offer.

Go check out NCIX and use the price match feature to compare prices and to get NCIX to price match them. NCIX is often cheaper than what Canada Computers has to offer.

Overall, the build looks good. You might wanna change that Seagate 500GB for a WD or Seagate 640GB hard drive. They are one of the fastest hard drives available on the market right now.

Also consider getting 4GB RAM instead. You'll only spend an extra $20 to $30 and you won't have to worry bout looking for hard to find DDR2 RAM when DDR3 becomes standardized within the next couple years.

If so, what intel chipset mobo would u recommend :D . I think he wont SLI eitherway. I'll go for 4Gb of RAM then and for the harddrive i will go for your recommendation of 640GB WD. thanks,geokilla

EVGA E-GEFORCE GTS 250 756MHZ 512MB 2.2GHZ DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDTV Out Video Card - DirectCanada Only a tad more but would stomp a 9800GT into the ground on top of that its a better company to work with CS wise with a good warranty and step up.

+1 to what geo says 640 WD is much better drive then the SG 500.
