My laptop sometimes does this, same with my Harmony remote. For me it's vibrations through the floor from walking into the room and shaking the table they sit on.

AFAIK that's a feature of the Harmony remote. Mine does it too when I come home. Or at least I'll consider it a feature

I walk in the room, and it starts running...
And it's happened more than once. If it was only once, I wouldn't think much about it...

I'll see what happens tomorrow when I get home.

How bright is your light? It's a shot in the dark (pun intended....), but maybe the bright light is acting on the mouse's laser pickup?

If you can replicate the "auto on" feature at will, next time try isolating the mouse (put it in a box or something) when you put it to sleep.

I don't weigh 300lbs, I'm only about 200 (at 6'3").

The floors are concrete, it's a condo. There's no way to shake the floor. It's just not possible. Not even if I weighed 600lbs.

Now the light thing could be something to look at. Tonight I'll go in the room and leave the light off and see what happens...

As for the harmony remote, I have the Harmony One, and it NEVER wakes up just by a slight vibration. I have to physically move it to get it to light up.

so, I've finally figured it out....
It's the light switch!! LOL

When I turn on the light, there must be some kind of feedback through the electrical system and it triggers my PC...AWESOME!! LOL
