Yeah, I know that...
Again, I took the drop in vidcard so I could get a monitor, tablet, ect...
I will upgrade the card as soon as I can afford to.
Aside from the video card (and maybe the ram) I think I have a pretty good build here. Once I get a chance to upgrade I'll really have a sweet setup!

Isn't that mainly Adobe products though? I don't know if Paint Shop Pro supports GPU acceleration.

no offense man, but the GPU is one thing you don't stint on to save a few $$$, especially with the gpu-intensive tasks you're using the machine for (photoshop, games, etc).

you say you're going to upgrade the card later on; that's good. But good luck holding on until then :P

Adobe > everything else except maybe painter if you do much illustration. Ive been working with graphic design quite a while and I can stand using anything less then photoshop. That being said I really dunno how much a new computer is going to add to your INCOME, you would have to have been using like a celeron 600 before this pc for it to really bother your design output unless your doing insane 3d renders or something. Although I can say that for my wacom tablet I notice a huge decrease in wacom tablet pen lag going to my new system from my older one, but the lag is now null and void on the faster dual core.

Esspecially to buy a monitor at 16:9 resolution that the card you stinted to cant handle in the least.

I went with a Radeon hd4670 instead... $105.06 CAD.
It should hold me off until I can afford a good card I would think.

As for the increase in my 'design output'...
Right now I'm on a Celeron 2.7gh Compaq with 512mb of DDR ram and a Geforce 6200 vid card. I only get to work for 8hrs a day max because the comp is not mine. This new machine should increase my output by a million times even with the 4670... then when I can afford a GTX 260, or 285 or something I'll really be

Really with that I7 Build you should have "shook" the change jar, used your MC, mooched off the girlfriend, sold the dog or begged on the streets but in some way put a minimum GTX 260 Core 216 in that sucker......
