In the mATX category there aren't many features to begin with. Most include a basic chipset, Video/Sound/LAN and a couple slots of varying types.

If you need "features" (like RAID) you'll have to move to ATX. But then you'll also have to buy a GPU since most ATX boards don't come with onboard GPU.

And I wouldn't touch a Seagate with a 100ft pole.
WD is the only company left with drives that I trust.

New and used cctv video cards, Electronics, Computers Networking on eBay.ca

Honestly I'm not sure why you are hung up on buying a gaming type video card for capture when that's not really what those cards are built for... most cameras are coax connections and so you need a special vid card for capture. Then you need the software to run it.. some cards come with the software. These cards do all the compression etc ON THE CARD and so the CPU isn't hammered.... some ATI card is never gonna keep up dude even a 800 dollar gaming vid card can't hold a stick to the one in the picture below. CCTV is the only way to go... Quantify it with the guy you're building it for by informing him that he will be able to access this system remotely from any where on earth... and more importantly from home.

You are also able to change the quality on the recordings and set the camera to only record on motion.... gotta have a CCTV card for security cameras dude... there's no better way of doing it.

Most CCTV cards include their own software.

99% guarantee that Software A won't work with Card B.

you need a vid card enough to run windows... thats it. ATI has the best tv options imo. Passive if possible... then you dont need to worry about cooling.

+1

Buy one off ebay that comes with the software.... that's really what you paying for anyway... the hardware itself probably isn't that expensive.

- asus is out of stock
- $20 ocz deal is gone... i mean i can't add that ram into my cart...

i dont have time to search so i order 5-5-5-18 corsair, biostar and corsair 400cx... still can't find $30ish case...
