Yeah when I bought my LG GH22NS30 I think I paid $25 and the samsung Trudirect was like $28, but I was tryin to sip as much of my money by that time since I decided to go SLI =( we will see if that turns out to be a mistake. Like I said holding it out of the case and feeling the movements when opening and closing I dont have to much hope of it having a super long life. but then again every LG product ive owned has done very well so...

Sorry for jumping in late (5 pages since noon, jeez...)

I've only bought LG drives for the past 2 years, no issues what-so-ever.
As for a 920 at 4.0, most definitely feasible on Air (TRUE with push/pull) while folding: 1.4V, 72C load temps, 23C ambiant. Same setup, under water: 57C.
Drop the 'raptor, and the Flex Ram.
Go for the Corsair HX1000W definitely.
You'll love the Elite, and the Donimo can't handle the heat dump of an oc'ed Quad.

The p5Q is actually quite midrange for an x-58. Look at the evga classified or the asus rampage extreme or the foxconn bloodrage. They aren't much more either.

Now your getting there....now all you need is a dedicated RAID controller for those SSDs ;)

gaming boards are a waste of money. I remeber the rampage forumla and the p5k deluxe i believe. Someone found on the p5k deluxe there is a sticker that cover up the rampage forumla logo. bloorage is suppose to have a bad bios and the evga classfied is going to cost like 600 canadian... no thanks

Actually squeetard is right. If you really want to push everything to the ExTrEmE (and you have made it quite clear to all of us that you do) I would look at some of the more high end boards. You will be able to 1. overclock it more 2. have room for a true quad sli + extra pci slot.

Or spend some extra money and try and get your hands on a good batch number of the 920. People run into road blocks with overclocking just because they got a lousy batch number. Or go for a 965. Yes it is proven that your not going to get much more out of it when it comes to STOCK. But its a whole new ball game when it comes to overclocking.
