Sorry, enlightem me?
The IC7 Diamond thermal paste trials that HWC is doing? theres a sticky about it in the overclocking section, free tube of paste to test it on everything youve got and post about it, and from the looks of it it may perform pretty good, its got quite a bit more thermal transfer then silver.

edit

Free innovation cooling 7 carat diamond tim giveaway!!

Huh....I ended up using the goop that came with the TRUE...all the info I found on that stuff stated it was good...but in all honesty...even if I brought my Temps down a few more degrees, the gains associated with the 4Ghz I had were minimal at best...not worth the extra Voltage required. Anytime you can take a Stock 2.66 Ghz and get it to 3.8Ghz with very little jump in Voltage...hell...thats awesome....you said it best...if your looking for a 3.4 to 3.6 Ghz OC and get more..its a bonus!

Yeah, I applied for the trial because a) it would be nice to give HWC a hand where I can, and b) im running some random Antec copy of arctic silver and id really like to see how diamond based holds up against it, if anything its non conductive non capacative. plus I need to do my MCP anyhow its running at 71c load right now when I run SLI.

Glad to see everyone playing nicly today, blame it on the full moon yesterday.:)

Sanjo: Build looks way better now bud others have made there comments I will just say 1, I freaking HATE lite-on, or any rebranded lite-on, drives everyone has died on me , even my dvd recorder standalone unit.
Pioneer or a Sammy would be my choice.

Wow I didnt even notice that part, I 100% agree with that, lite-on is an OEM brand at best, I have had every one of their products fail on me within months of owning them. Go with the choices listed, I really like samsung but the LG burner I bought seems to be good so far. I still wish I had spent the extra $3 and just gone with the Samsung speed+.

Last LG I owned was a first GEN dvd rw, thing cost me over 5 bills but you know what that sucker is still burning the odd disc today in the wifes rig. Other than that I havnt used any newer LG units.

Yeah I've got two 5 yr old ones as well in my Wifes Office Rig (my old P4 w 6800GT) - still works fine. Back then they were about quadruple what I pay now.

I got an old LG multi writer out of an external drive bay I wanted, it was marketed as an external DVD writer but I just wanted the drive bay, so the writer itself went into my PC. I picked that up oh... 4-5 years ago when zellers in fort st john was going out of buisness. I think I paid $45... 85% off. The thing is still burning today although I no longer own it, I really hope the newer Sata drives last near as long, I just dont like the quality of the LG superwriter I picked up, its loud and feels cheap.
