Arrow Need Help- Taking i7 plunge

I am in the process of placing an order for my new build. I am planning on placing the order tomorrow if I can get the components/setup right. I have been buying pre-built gaming systems for years. Can I get your opinions on the comonents...I am not going to OC cause I dont want to screw anything up as it is expensive.

I mostly want it for:
FSX
ARMA2(when released)
Operation Flashpoint 2 (when released)

Here are the specs:

Antec Twelve Hundred Case
Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
12 GB OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
EVGA GeForce GTX 285 SC Edition 1GB
PC Power & Cooling PPCT860 860W
2 Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM
2 LG Black 22X (CAV) DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 22X
Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme 1366RT
Vista Home Premium 64

Looks good though I'd stick with 6GB of RAM. I hear 12GB has some issues and limits OC'ing. Even if you don't plan on OC'ing, I'm sure at some point you will

Also I'd go with the Corsair 850W PSU since that PC Power & Cooling is overpriced IMO.

Get the caviar black version of the hard drives, only a few bucks more and you get dual processors and 32mb of cache.

NCIX.com - Buy Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB 7200RPM 32MB Dual Proc 3.5IN SATA Hard Drive OEM 5YR Mfg Warranty - WD6401AALS In Canada.

Both are sold, but another one may hit the FS block very shortly...

If, your 100% not going to OC then you don't need that TRUE you have listed there. Though not overclocking an i7 chip is just stupid since its beyond easy and the risk of damage is very low so long as you aren't too crazy.

Nice build. +1 for the Corsair 850W, less cost, same quality

-1 for 12GB, Just get a good 6GB DDR3-1600 kit, you'll be fine. Unless of course, you don't want to OC then you should be fine going right on ahead with that .

Are you planning on getting an SLI setup with that beast? If not, then 850W's mighht be too much

I must agree somewhat with Iamcanadian7 about the TRUE 1366, but then again, if you're going to put together a great system, why not top it off with great cooling?

Nice build! But that PSU, although would be my personal choice for an 850w (I just love that company) is a bit overkill for only 1 video card, if you want to stick with PC power & cooling, get the silencer 750w, much better price and extremely solid unit.
And with that cooler, you'd be crazy not to overclock! You can get 3.8 or 4.0 GHz staying in the STOCK VOLTAGE limits! The i7 overclocks VERY well and it's super easy.
