Plenty of power
A corsair 850TX can probably run that setup minus 1 285.

That PSU will easily power that system. Easily. The 850W version would do fine, also.

1000W's is plenty, the power requirements per GTX285 is around 230 watts (or is it 192W?), I forget, but either way, the 1000W will be able to power your whole system including both 285's and then some, heck you might be able to tri-sli it!

That is way more than enough to power your system.
I think when they give those figures for Power Consumption on Cards, its including what they 'guess' is already in your system.

You'll be perfect.

I believe that 600W spec is the recommended for an entire system running a 285. The actual graphics card requires much less than that.

Build an SLI PC - Certified SLI-Ready Power Supplies click the drop down menu for gtx285 sli. These will work for sure, but you can at least look up the specs for the ones listed and compare them to what you were looking at.

corsair 1000hx is one of the nicest psu's out there as well, meaning that if other 1000w psu's can handle it, so can this one. (and other 1000w psu's can handle that fairly easily).
