What about the quality of their build? Anyone has past experience?
Having no technical expertise for now, I am worried of getting into a mess (very pricey one) that I cannot get out of.

I would help, but my last "built for a member" experience wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it could have been. I don't know about ncix's built quality, since I build my own and then some for my customers.

The only vague memory I have of a complaint about their builds was one where the CPU heatsink was left on for delivery, but that was quite a while ago and I'm sure they wouldn't make that same mistake twice.

Just do a quick search on their site for something like pre-built, or look for comments under the SKU for it.

Heh... here.... just have a look at the member's reviews........ :)

Based on quick scan of the reviews and from a personal experience I'd say most seem pretty happy with their pre-assembles. Its obvious that improvements can be made but if you're not nearly as picky as the rest of us than its satisfactory.

SS did they not pack the internal of the case with any bubble wrap or bags of air?

The cable management job I did for a member here said that the insides were packed with bubble wrap and I clearly remember the stock heatsink for the i7 965 being installed, as with everything else.

I think the best prebuilt gaming pc's are made by Hypersonic and the Sonic Boom ATS Ramjet can be customized to suit anyone's needs.

Missing the $300 or so motherboard too (probably more since it's an X58 mATX board which I haven't even heard of yet) and 9GB of RAM is more than $250 IMO.

But yeah that's a really awesome deal for a prebuilt PC.
