Default Need advice on a new PC build

so I'm building a new pc and would like to know what route to take for my mobo/ram

I can get the evga x58 + 6x1gb DDR3-1866 for $450 with free shipping(ncix sale from last week says it's still good for 5 days in my cart) or the alternative is getting an asus P6t for $300 + 3x2gb OCZ DDR3-1600 for $200 + about $30 shipping making it about $80 more expensive

do you think it would be a better idea to go with the asus/ocz route or the evga/6x1gb route

I'm gonna be getting an i7 920 and hopefully OCing it to ~3.4GHz and a GTX 295 GPU that I will also be OCing

My System Specs

Default

If it were me, I'd be inclined to look at a 3X2G setup over a 6X1G, but that's based on my experience with filling 4 DDR2 slots on S775. I don't have any hands-on experience with how well the X58 chipset handles 6 full slots.

yes this is really the only reason I'm considering going with the 3x2 because on a old s478 and 775 machine when I had 4 dimms it greatly decreased performance over using the same amount of ram in just 2 dimms
