MX2 is easy to work with, and on par with most high-end third party thermal compounds. You won't be disapointed.

Yep, that's the one.

edit: Heh... I hope the mid-life crisis the forums are going through aren't going to continue much longer.... :)

It sounds to me like you might be concerned about the "non-electrical / non-conductive" properties of MX2......

All that means is that it won't short out anything on your motherboard / components if you happen to get some where it doesn't belong.

so here's what I ordered from DirectCanada:

Arctic Cooling MX-2 compound
LG DVD-Burner
Antec 300
Western Digital Caviar SE16 640GB
OCZ Vendetta 2 Triple Heatpipe
G.Skill PC2-6400 4 GB DDR2-800
+ 2GB of DDR400 for someone else and at the same time reach the 300$...

As for the CPU, Mobo, GPU and the PSU I will wait for my tax return.. or maybe a lil before and at the same time watch if the price won't drop till then.

Weird though I found that whole pin stuff odd to begin with. When I saw the email I was like "wtf is this?". However mine worked fine but I mis-interpreted one of the numbers as a letter but I figured it out.

I'd drop DC_Support a PM just to make sure everything is okay.

Looks like a good start. Gives you more time to decide on AMD vs Intel too

For the longest time, silver based tims were the best performers when it came to lowering temps. Some might argue that they still are, but the differences are small enough that it's (IMO) not worth the risk, especially for somebody just starting out.
