My System Specs

Default Gaming/Development Pc !

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Mostly gaming ( Valve games, far cry 2, crysis.. ) and development ( C#,.Net vmware environment ect.. ). A bit of entertainment by watching some movies but that is not cpu intensive. I am using a 22" monitor ( 1650x1050 ) so a cheap video card won't do the job i think..

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
Around 700 ~ 900 $ depending if it's really worth it to spend more for it..

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
FTW but if we find a better price it doesn't matter to me to order from the us

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
No big preference but i would like to focus on silence.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Yes i intend to use my current hard drive wich is Seagate barracuda 7200.11 1 TB SATA2

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
Yup i've read a few and i configured this rig so i hope you will say your opinion about this one..

Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200
Antec Three Hundred
Gigabyte EP45-DS3L
Corsair HX520W
OCZ Platinum XTC REV.2 PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB
Evga Superclocked GTX 260
Any alternative heatsink ?

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
I would like to be ready for oc and keep that rig silent !

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?

In a few weeks or so about to pull the trigger so..

Thanks for your help

Change the E5200 to E8400 or Q6600 if you're going to use VMware. E7200 doesn't spport VMware, and I doubt the E5200 does too.

Since you're gaming at 1680X1050, get the 9800GTX+ or a ATI 4850. I don't see a need for the GTX260 if you're gaming at that resolution.

Get the OCZ Vendetta 2 for your HSF.

Finally, don't forget to price match.

The E5200 and E7200 do NOT support Virtualization Tech.

IntelŪ PentiumŪ Desktop Processor E5200 - SLAY7

The E8xxx's do, as well as the Quad core chips. A Q6600 might be a good chip for you. Also, 4GB memory is so cheap, why not buy that? Yes, 32 bit OS's can only use 3 GB, but you'll want it, especially if you're running a VM or 2.

Okay, so i swap those it should go around.. this...

Intel Pentium Dual Core Q8200
Antec Three Hundred
Gigabyte EP45-DS3L
Corsair HX520W
2x ( For 4 gigs ) OCZ Platinum XTC REV.2 PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB
Evga 9800 GTX+ ( Keeping Nvidia for his linux drivers support )
OCZ Vendetta 2

Also i've got an other question : Is the GTX 260 really overkill for my resolution ? or simply a waste of money.. as if it's not i think i'll try to wait the release of the gtx 285 and grab one of those at a cheap price
