Default thinking of a new lan build.

So, i just built my beast of a computer, but it is way to big to carry around if i ever want to. So now, im planning on eventually making a "lan party" computer.

this is all just in my mind right now, won't be making it for quite a while, but this is along the lines of what im planning.

NCIX.com - Buy G.SKILL F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit - F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 3.5IN 320GB SATA 7200RPM 16MB Cache Hard Drive OEM - ST3320613AS In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Biostar TP43D2-A7 ATX LGA775 P43 DDR2 1PCI-EX 3PCI SATA2 HD Sound GBLAN CrossFireX Motherboard - TP43D2-A7 In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition OEM - N09-01153OEM In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E Video Card - 100242L In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.5GHZ 800FSB 2MB Retail Box - BX80571E5200 In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Antec Three Hundred Mini Tower Gaming Case 300 ATX 3X5.25 6X3.5INT No PS Front USB & Audio - THREE HUNDRED In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Coolermaster Extreme Power 500W ATX 12V V2.01 Silent Power Supply 20/24PIN 120MM Fan - RP-500-PCAR In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy LG GH22NS30 Black DVD+RW 22X8X16 DVD-RW 22X6X16 DL 16X/12X 2MB SATA OEM - GH22NS30 BLACK In Canada.

this would be around $840, i most likely wouldn't overclock it either.

tell me what you think, suggestions welcomed.

Go for the Sonatta III w/ 500W PSU instead of your combination. You'll get a much better PSU. :)

You might want a 640GB hard drive if you need it. However, since it's a LAN computer, guess you don't. XFX is releasing ATI cards soon, so if you don't want to deal with Sapphire's warranty, I suggest that you get an XFX ATI card. Also, you might wanna spend a bit more and get a E7200.

+1 for the 7200 upgrade, I would just do a mild oc to 3.5ish GHZ. It's pretty much free performance so I don't see why you wouldn't.
