Default Oops! I think I made a mistake, guys!

Alright, I just ordered my parts off of NCIX right now and I forgot to check with you guys to see if everything is compatible. Please tell me I didn't choose incompatible parts. Will you guys just quickly go through it and tell me if everything will work out?

Thanks, here it is:

  • PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610W EPS12V ATX V2.2 24PIN SLI Ready Active PFC 80MM Fan Power Supply
  • Antec Three Hundred Mini Tower Gaming Case 300 ATX 3X5.25 6X3.5INT No PS Front USB & Audio
  • Samsung SH-S223Q/BEBS 22X DVD+-RW SATA DVD Writer Black Lightscribe OEM
  • Corsair XMS2 Dominator TWIN2X4096-8500C5D 4GB 2X2GB PC2-8500 DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 240PIN Memory Kit
  • Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB SATA2 3GB/S 7200RPM 16MB Cache NCQ Hard Drive OEM
  • EVGA E-GEFORCE 9800GTX+ 740MHZ 512MB 2.2GHZ 256BIT DDR3 Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Video Card
  • Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core Processor LGA775 3.0GHZ Wolfdale 1333FSB 6MB Retail
  • EVGA Nforce 750I SLI Ftw LGA775 ATX DDR2 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 2PCI SATA RAID Sound GBLAN Motherboard

Don't worry, I got all my peripherals and monitor, I just need to know that when I begin to build this thing, that I had not forgot any parts or that any of the ones I have chose are incompatible.

Thanks.

Only thing that might be missing is an after market cpu cooler to over clock the e8400 with. (OCZ Vendetta 2 or Xigmatek HDT-S1283) But that's only if you want to go there.

It all seems fine. Think about getting a good aftermarket heatsink for your E8400 in the future perhaps? Great build otherwise, everything should work out great!

How much did you end up paying for the whole thing? Also, great choice on the ram, I have 2 of those kits, 8GB total in my main rig, great ram.

Yep very nice build....for what it is worth I wold have recomended going for the PC P&C 750W vs the 610W, just for a little more "future-proofing".....but all in all nice build.

Phew, thanks guys. I will get an aftermarket cooler in the future when I want to overclock, but for now, I think I will leave it as it is. In total with taxes it came to around $1300 CAD. Minus the $130 rebates from all of it it comes to around $1180 area.

Hope I made a good choice. :)

mhmm, thanks for the advice, I guess I will have to work with it. Just one thing though, can the Antec 300 fit an 9800 GTX+ SLI as well as an aftermarket cooler such as the Vendetta 2? Also, could the 610W PSU I selected be able to power it all up?

Not really sure how your GPU or HSF will fit as I'm not familiar with that Case. In my old Raidmax Smilidon Mid Tower Case my GTX 260's and 280's just fit, about a half an inch to spare and SLI worked provided I shuffled my HD's around a little, but very poor air flow for an SLI config.
As for your PSU, not sure what the requirements are for the 9800 GTX+......I know the PC P&C 750W was fine for a GTX 260 SLI and although not recomended, ran my 280 SLI set-up fine.
I would guess that the 9800 GTX+ in SLI would be borderline with a 610W, but you did get a PC P&C and they are a very solid brand, likely it will run it....question is how well and for how long...I tend to go slightly overkill on my PSU's to avoid any problems.

Antec 300 fits a Xigmatek cooler at 159 millimeters so the vendetta fits at its 159 millimeters. The gtx+ at 266.7 millimeters long will stick out over then of the 243.84 millimeters motherboard. If one fits they both will.
