Default Buy now or wait?

Alright guys, for the past few months you have been helping me get a build together. I have just been waiting for the economy so that prices can drop. Should I keep waiting or is now a good time then ever to buy?

I terms of the economy, if you want to buy within the next two years, there's no point in waiting for a par CAD because that's not going to happen any time soon. But if you're going i7 then there will be cheaper boards out in q1 and new nvidia high-end graphics cards out very soon.

EDIT Just reading your other posts- sounds like you are on budget- I owuld say in that case now (or boxing day) is as good a time as any for a C2D build

Wouldn't bother with i7 unless you got to much money to burn.

775 is still plenty for most people and in a few months i5 will be released.

I agree with Babs, look for the stuff you KNOW your gonna need and snag it on sale. (case, psu, dvd, hdd) You can always decide later about your other needs. It all depends how far into the future you are looking for your computer needs. I personally would go with i7.

I don't need i7 so I probably won't get it. I am looking to buy a computer for around $1000 - 1100 including mouse, keyboard, headset, and monitor. I already have an O.S. I am there now, but at boxing day I see what I can get. Is boxing day at NCIX in store only?

Wait till Boxing Day. It's only a few days away. What's your approximate budget though, so if you do need help, we can give you a basic idea of what to expect for your new computer.

Thanks for reminding me to get my friend's rig ready :P. He needs a new comp and what better time of the year than Boxing Day.

So, if the boxing day sale in in store, a few days after I can see similar offers online or on that same day?
