if your not in a hurry and will have time to jump on deals as they happen, i'd wait until boxing-day. best thing to do is read the reviews, you'll know better what you want/like then anyone else. :)

Ditto. Can you answer the sticky as well? It'll help us with your build.

Now off the top of my head.

Intel Q6600
ASUS P5Q Pro
OCZ/Patriot/Corsair/Mushkin 4GB DDR-800 RAM
WD/Seagate/Samsung 640GB
NVIDIA 9800GTX+ or GTX260 or ATI 4850
Corsair 520HX or 620HX

well .. I'm not going to be doing any OC

If I want build one with the i7 (will reconsider the budget), will it be worth it or its not necessary

Thanks

For $1000ish, definitely not worth it. Just the CPU and X58 motherboard would cost at least $600.
