This is a little better
Newegg.ca - MSI X58 Platinum LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards =269.99

Intel Core i7 920 2.66 GHz Processor Socket 1366 (8MB L3 Cache)-BX80601920 =349.95

NCIX.com - Buy G.SKILL F3-10666CL9T-3GBNQ 3GB DDR3 3X1GB DDR3-1333 CL 9-9-9-24 Triple Channel Memory Kit - F3-10666CL9T-3GBNQ In Canada. =109.12

729.06
The shipping and taxes for all of it would probably make you want to vomit though.

Wow first mobo under 300.... getting there already lol !

Eldonko November 18, 2008 03:42 PM

Now just PM the newegg stuff at ncix and you are good to go.

Jonwall November 18, 2008 04:28 PM

Ahh i was just on newegg.ca earlier today and couldnt find any i7 stuff lol, that msi board is pretty damn cheap though, 220 in the states, and the 920 is like 340 there, so unfair that prices get jacked up here :( If i can somehow manage $900 after xmas ill consider this upgrade though. :D

Hah. I would have sold mine by this point, except that I suspect I've done a little damage to it from some benching sessions, and I won't hock broken goods.

I thought NCIX didn't PM the egg?

Still, sweet price on the MSI board, even if it's just the Platinum, and not the Eclipse. Definitely a rival for the P6T board, I'd say.

Really? Didn't know that. Mind you, egg.ca hasn't been around long.

.

Don't know, never tried myself. But I thought that issue had come up, with NCIX not doing PM on them due to some technicality? Don't quote me on that, I was looking for confirmation myself.

NCIX PMed Newegg.ca on one item for me a little while ago. It wasn't a huge price difference, maybe only 5% of a $70 item in a $500 order. But I'm pretty sure they do. Otherwise, they'd lose customers to the egg. I think the problem right now is that NCIX doesn't have the MSI board, and I'm not sure if they're going to get it. So it doesn't help to try price matching it.

I PMed newegg @ NCIX last week. It was over 20% difference even and they accepted it instantly.
