Default What do you think of the gigabyte ex58-extreme?

This is the MB I will be getting.

According to a person on xtremesystems who reviewed 4 x58 mb, it has the best FSB overclocking potential hands down which will help since I am getting only a i920.

I also like it because it has a build on water block.

Are you putting this underwater. Have you seen any 1366 water blocks in canada?

I think I'm going to jump on an i7 920 and P6T Deluxe.

I was going to sell my RE and RAM and go back to a RF, DDR2 and a quad, but it would cost me roughly the same to move forward to i7, so I might as well do that.

Man, that is one sweet board, Asus is rockin' these days.

Case?

Was only a matter of time and Cooler Master would release something better than the HAF 932! Maybe not as great at cooling, but damn near, and all aluminum version of the HAF:

Cooler Master ATCS 840

bit-tech.net | Review - Cooler Master ATCS 840

I might have a HAF 932 (with super low miles on it) for sale soon.

I've taken over this build for Reno but he'll be helping greatly with it. It will eventually be under water yes & I am only going with the i920 also. I am in the works of seeing about getting a brass top Stinger V8 redone so it fits this board. I've inquired about it anyways so I'll see what he says.

Open to any suggestions also for other gear also. I will be getting cpu soon as it can be ordered in from MB & I don't know what ram to go with yet.

Why did you give up on this build.

It sounded pretty sweet. I hope you are joking when you said you would do the overclocking for him.

Such a system belong in someone hands that does their own overclocking(a little less so since he is not getting a 965).

What videocards are you putting in this core i7 build. What are you cooling it with? I want to go water but I can't find the blocks anywhere.

I'm an OC NooB lol I'll learn though. Reno bring the Captain for me dude lol.

I currently have 3 8800GTX's with EK blocks for it & it will be under water. I have a Stinger V8 lined up that is going to be modded with new mounts to fit the i7. I just haven't decided if I'm going to replace this for my old gear in my current case(H2gO) or wait & get a new MM case when I can(1st of the new year). I might slap it in the H2gO for now maybe we'll see. I know it isn't going to be the Extreme setup Reno would have made it but I'll try my best & upgrade as time goes by till it is.
