I have Gigabyte X48-DQ6 and a ASUS Maximus II Formula . And I have a E7300 and a E6850. Which CPU would you put with which board? Thanks.

Doesn't matter IMO. Both rather low-end CPUs considering you have the top-of-the-line motherboards...

Either processor will go with either board. The E6850 is a 3.0GHz proc where the E7200 is 2.53GHz. The E6850 has a 9x multi and the E7200 has 9.5x multi. Both will do 3.6GHz no problem with good aftermarket HSF. Hell they might even do 4.0GHz.

You should try both CPUs in both boards to see if there are any significant differences. If there are then you know what you might want to use in what. If both CPUs clock the same in each board then it does not matter really.
