Yet another question:

I found a copy for a Dell Reinstallation DVD Windows Vista from my dell laptop which is no longer in use. Will this work for my new computer? I can then look at upgrading later? Or does it look for the Dell ID, as I have heard from some.

You can try it, but I'd bet that it's tied directly to the original dell hardware and won't activate on your new machine. (Activation will probably tell you to contact Dell rather than M$ because of the type of OEM license it is).

I just found out the heatsink ordered (OCZ Vendetta 2 ) is on backorder and they don't know when they are getting more in.

Should I wait or swap it to something else and if so which one?

Thanks.

The Vendetta 2 is hands down the Best price for performance out there....The others from Zalman, Noctua and Thermalright are great but the cost a lot more. Mabye the Sythe Ninja 2

UPDATE:
All the parts arrived today from NCIX.. Thanks again everyone.. One part, the CPU cooler was on back order Vandetta 2. So this is the question. Should I go a head with the assembly, and add the CPU cooler later - is this fairly easy to do after everything is assembled or should I wait. The only catch is that the cooler is still on backorder and they don't know exactly when it is going to ship..

How long is the backorder going to be?

Does the backordered cooler have some form of bolt-through kit or is it just standard pushpins? If it's pushpins you can just use the stock cooler for now and swap it out for the vendetta when it comes in. If it bolts through, you'll need to remove the motherboard to install it when it comes in, but that's not that big of a deal.

Just don't go crazy on the OC with the stock cooler.
