Holy Hell.. The Canadian prices for the CPU's have actually gone up!! I changed my memory and mainbord to what we talked about but the current price of the CPU means that total price only went down $150!! CPU is almost $100 more!! GULP. I better get moving on this.

I guess these guys aren't taking into consideration the OC potential of the Q9550. I am going to go with it soon over my E3110/E8400(same just one's a Xeon). I wish I had of gone Quad right of the start but I have since seen the light. Get the Q9550 you'll be more than pleased with it & won't need to upgrade for quite some time unless you decide to go i7 that is. Good luck with the rig & show some pics!

It sux! Although I just bought some things from the US today & none of them were increased since at least 2-3 weeks ago when I chose them till now. Hopefully I got there before they jumped. I have yet one more order to make also in the next week so we'll see how that goes. Sux but that's the price we have to pay I guess.

The Canadian dollar is fluctuating. . . .

However, when I was putting together the parts for my machine the prices would still fluctuate a lot. Sometimes by 30% or more. I think it's also related to how they adjust their prices automatically based on demand.

That is what I was thinking, because most Canadian sites have the Q9450 at a higher price than the Q9550. I am gonna see if any local places have this and just pay cash somewhere. The price for my build has gone up almost 200 in 3 days!!!

..Welcome to HWC. Of course it's sad that the price went up due to Dollar changes and not ..better hardware.
