I'll admit I seem kinda stubborn on this, but as I said, everything is already ordered so any changes will have to be made after I receive the components. The case would cost a fortune in shipping to return. Any comments on the PSU miggs78? I've ordered a 512MB 4870 to save some cash, keep the suggestions coming...

No worries, wasn't aware you ordered most of it, my appologies..

As for the PSU.. Corsair 750TX no doubt, they are other power supplies, but this one will be more than enough, in case you add another 4870 card, it'll do the trick for sure..

having owned a tuniq tower, a ultra extreme 120 and a vendetta 2.. they all perform exactly the same with very little difference.

Save money and go for the vendetta 2.

Yeah, that happens, LoL. This can be addicting. Almost a year ago I needed to replace a budget video card for my P4. 10 months later I own 2 gaming rigs!

Your gear looks nice, post up some pictures when you get it done. I like seeing how others do up their 1200's.

I second this suggestion, pictures of the build in the worklog! I love seeing the insides of computers, how people put them together and mod or alter the cases. I got some great ideas from others, and it is the best way to learn because a picture can show what words fail to describe.

You won't regret going with a quality PSU. :)

Everything else looks pretty decent, and like many have said, the choice of case is probably the most "personal" of any part of a new build so don't let anybody sway you from it. :)

Alright so, my website of choice (Komplett.ie) does not have any of the Corsair TX750w in stock at the moment. The one I ordered all the parts off for my build does (allegedly), but as I have already stated, they seem to have issues with their item pages and stock levels not tallying so I won't order any more from them and risk further delay.

How about the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad as an alternative? I've seen that mentioned on here in pretty glowing terms. What is the cable length like in respect of a full tower case? (Thanks for opening my eyes to that Dwayne.)

I will definitely be taking pictures of the build as it progresses and posting them in the relevant sub-forum here.

One more question. I have a SB X-Fi XtremeMusic that I bought for the Dell over a year ago, and couldn't use because it didn't get on with the Dell even after a complete reformat and re-install of Windows. Would I be better off getting the XtremeGamer model or just fitting this? Is there a noticeable improvement with the XtremeGamer over the XtremeMusic?

Hek that is the one I would have suggested, but since you're on a budget, it would have been expensive for you. All the power supplies that PC P&C come out with have spaghetti.. damn cables are long..

If you want a good Sound card, Asus Xonar hands down..
