I have used the G.Skill PC-8500 and they worked good but I prefer Mushkin.

Hello again...
+5 for the the PC2 8500 ascents. Let's say +6 because you also have Mushkin Greg, who can help with various timings, and offer continuous help really..

That I have definitely considered....I don't see Yellowbeard on this forum but MuskinGreg is here often so I guess that answers my question ...I was already leaning toward Mushkins and I knew a lot of you would reccomend them I juat wanted to see if anybody reccomended anything else...and besides one for Patriot which is only PC6400.and a nod to Gskill Pi...Everybody calls for Muskin well fair enough count me in.

Thanks everybody .....If anyone disagrees speak now or forever hold your pieces....of ram ??

My System Specs

Default

Corsair Dominators ran at 1147MHz on my Maximus Formula.
NCIX.com - Buy Corsair XMS2 Dominator TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF 4GB 2X2GB PC2-8500 DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 240PIN Memory Kit - TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF In Canada.

8GB ran at 1133MHz.

Check out the bandwidth. This is with the Rampage Formula 0308 bios, 4GB of RAM and an E8400 at 4.3GHz

Finally a Corsair hit.....I have been waiting for anybody to mention the Dominators... I used to think of them as the top cheese no questions asked....then Muskins seems to of caught on like wild fire..Thanks for posting some info to that adds weight to your recommendation. I hate going blindly like a sheep into tech parts mearly because of reccomendations so stats are well appreciated, has anyone read this review..I know it's toms hardware but it has me second guessing......But Mushkin looks to win still considering it's advertised speed of 1066 seems to hit 1115 which is more impressive the the Dominators that are 1142 that only hit 1176 Mind you the Corsair 1066 looks to hit 1147 hmmm .The timings are a little tighter on Mushkin though which is nice.....

Well, I had the 1066 Corsairs and they hit 1147.

And with your exact same board, as opposed to the P45 that Tom's used.

Although I'm sure the Ascents will probably be able to get up there as well. It's great RAM.
