Default PSU reccommendation

My gaming rig is finally finished this friday. However, now, at the last second, I'm doubting if the PSU I originally wanted to get was good enough.

Here's the rig:
Quote:
Case: Antec 900
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @3.0Ghz, 1333MHz FSB (45nm)
HSF: OCZ Vendetta II w/ Antec Silver TIM
Motherboard: Asus P5Q SE LGA775 ATX PCI-E EPU MB
Power Supply: ???
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD4850 512MB DDR3 PCI-E
Memory: OCZ 2P8004GK 2x2G PC2-6400 Platinum Kit
Hard Drives: Primary: 160GB Seagate Barracuda SATA3G; Secondary: 500GB Western Digital SATA3G
Optical Drives: 2 x LG GH22NS30 22x DVDRW SATA BLK
I originally had my eye on a Coolermaster extreme power duo 600W, but maybe i'll need something of higher wattage? Enermax also looks like a good brand.

Unfortunately the store i'm buying from doesn't have a lot of options... but suggestions would be appreciated anyways.

I'm looking for something that will power the system (i'm not planning on overclocking), with a little headroom; but nothing overkill.

Had me scared for a minute, thought you said "Best Buy".

I've seen several PSU reviews of OCZ's GameXstream line, and they're pretty much all questionable. They just don't seem to be built on a good platform, and they don't hold to their rated specs. The Antec's are probably okay, but my vote would be for one of the PCP&C Silencers. If you don't expect to go Xfire in the future, the 500 will be just fine. Otherwise, the 610 will give you a little more headroom to play with.

Personally I have a OCZGX700w and they have the 12v going to 4 rails, this was very good about 1-2 years ago and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them "then" but with the latest Video Cards and hardware I believe it struggles to deliver a good "solid" power supply. For example I was happily OC at 3.15GHz (mobo with 975 chipset limited) and passed OCCT, Prime95, memtest etc with my old x1900xtx but as soon as I got a 4850 I couldn't play Crysis without BSOD or "lock-ups" and after playing with many different combinations of voltages and card drivers I finally resolved it by backing off my OC to 3.01GHz. It was suggested that using the Q6600 (Quad) and 4850 were taking a big hit on the 12v "rails" and that a single solid rail may not have been impacted as such.

PC&C (although now owned by OCZ) have a very good reputation:

You will find that will be arguably one of the best and outperform others that have the higer "watts".

My PC P&C Quad Silencer 750W has been Rock Solid...has both 6 Pin (2) and 6 + 2 Pin (2) PCI Express plugs for SLI, unsure what plug types ATI Cards utilize though...60 Amps on a single 12v Rail, runs very cool and quiet.

hm, it seems like the Power Silencer wins the vote, then.

My motherboard doesn't have a second pci-e slot, so no crossfire for me. As well, I forgot to mention the RAM will be 4GB dual-channel mode.

So, will the 500W Power Silencer do me well?

Guys with an ATI Card could "ring-in" with your power requirements,...check out Reviews on PC P&C PSU's, their anything but "average" PSU's..
