Not really a new build . . just new parts

I built a new computer, the one in my signature, a couple of weeks ago. Now that I've got it up and running, I'm ready to get the parts I'm still missing. I have about $450 left in my budget, and I need to get the following items:

Monitor(s) - I'm thinking dual 22" widescreens
TV Tuner - needs to be internal

I don't know much about monitors or tv tuners, so I would really appreciate any suggestions anyone could give me. I would like the monitors to have DVI connections or better though, since I do have a HD 4870, and VGA would be a waste .

NCIX.com - Buy Samsung T220HD 22IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 1680X1050 5MS 10000:1 VGA DVI-D HDMI Component TV Tuner - LS22TDNSUV/ZA In Canada.

don't think you can find a 22" with a build in TV tuner for under 200 bucks since you want dual screen.

The info on that page is wonky.... the title lists 10,000:1 & 5ms while the specs list 20,000:1 & 2ms.

If you're just looking for a 22" monitor... Futureshop has a decent Samsung for $219 in this week's flyer. I'm guessing you want a tuner card as opposed to a tuner built into the monitor?

No, I want the tv tuner to go in my computer - a PCI card.

Also, I'm a Yankee, just a friendly heads up :)

From looking around, I've seen a lot of Acer and Hanns-G 22" for $200 or less, and a couple Asus ones. Any of these good/bad?

For the tv tuner card . . anyone have any thoughts? I'm not looking for a high-end one or anything, I just want to be able to record tv shows in Vista Ultimate. I know nothing about tv tuners though, so I was hoping someone might offer up a good one for me to check out.

The Hanns-G monitors don't seem to make their way up north very much (mustn't like the cold... :) ) and I'm not sure I've ever seen an Asus monitor ever.... Acer monitors have a decent rep if not as being top of the line.

As far as tuners go... if you're in the US it might be worth your while to see what's available there WRT PCI digital cable tuners. We can't get them here, but there are units available in the US which can decode digital signals.

How can I tell if a TV tuner can decode digital signals? This one is on sale at NCIX: Here, but I assume since it's available to you guys, it means it can't?

Also, you said Acer is decent, so how is this monitor: Here? It's on sale for $180 right now.
