Talking Yet Another First Build

I've been lurking these boards for a few weeks now, and from all the great advice given to people I've pieced together my first build in 5 years (so long Dell!). It's yet another E8400 / P5Q build, so I'm sure you're sick of hearing about them . But here goes:

MOBO:...Asus P5Q-E ATX ..........................$167.40
CPU:......Intel Core 2 Duo E8400..................$179.99
RAM:.....Mushkin Ascent PC2-8000 4GB.........$129.99
HSF:.....OCZ Vendetta 2............................$39.99
............w/ Thermalright BOLT-THRU............$5.61
CASE:....Coolermaster Centurion 590 ATX......$68.04
PSU:......Corsair TX650W 650W....................$98.58
HDD:.....Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 640GB....$79.99
GPU:.....HIS Radeon HD 4850 ICEQ4..............$210.68
DVD:.....LG GH22NS30 SATA DVD+/-RW.........$22.79
MISC:....Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Paste....$3.99
............Noctua NF-P12-1300 120MM Fan x2..$25.98
----------------------------------------------------
$1122.47 (CDN) (w/ Taxes + S&H)

I just pulled the trigger and submitted my order to NCIX, so I hope there aren't any glaring issues with it. I hope to delve into some mild OC'ing once it arrives.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the great help you guys have been!

Looks like it's going to be a great build.

Be sure to let us know how it turns out.

If your getting 1 hard drive, then get the WD instead, it is more like Seagate works out better in RAID, WD in single hard drives, some nice seek times.

Otherwise, 100% homework done.. ^.^

I price matched a few of those parts down, saving about $70 or so. Little savings certainly do add up! NCIX tells me I've cleared the order processing step, so now begins the delivery waiting game.

I've read through countless 'new build' posts, and I'm amazed how many times you guys have to repeat the same info. Props for maintaining some civility.

Oh, and thanks for the welcome!
