I wouldnt call it bragging rights. If I wanted bragging rights, I would buy something MOST if NOT all have never heard about. Like a Power 6 system. Or an Alpha processor and run NT 4.0. Which was THE fastest server EVER made to date. Personally, if i could get a skulltrail, I would get a Supermicro board, and like 8-12 GB of HyperX dimms, and like 4 15k scsi cheetah drives. But someone would say im bragging LoL. Moast brag subliminly when they dress nice.

No I mean that you could have 1 GX2 and perform just on par with 2 GX2s

Ehh...Im not so sure about that. A server spec board could probably beat that for pure crunching power and a high end single core board could handle games just as well. Skulltrail is really just for people who want multiple graphics cards on a server board.

Personally I really can't see the point to a system like this, there are very few programs what can even use this amount of power let alone games.

Doesn't mean I don't wanna see it though. Pics ASAP!!!! :)

Actually reno, the Supermicro 5400 xs board is a LITTLE cheaper then the Intel refenrance board, and the Asus. And the scsi drives, can be had for less than vraptors.

Well, a ton of boards can beat the socks off a skulltrail hands down. sheesh, where do we stgart, I knOW I know! lets start with Sun Microsystems. Take any Ultrasparc. any. thAn, lets move over to IBM. Take any POWER system. ANY. Lets mover to.....
you get the point. Anyways, the x86 architecture totally suxORS compared to ALL others. It was just cheaper to make, in R & D, and building. Its jsut to bad we cant put a DX10 card and run it in a Power 6 workstation.
