First actual build, parts figured, couple questions

Oh boy I'm not a happy camper right now.
The computer upstairs (the one on the main line) is the only one in the house we'll use for credit card purchases, all the other computers including this one (hehe) have junk on them. (except the new one that I will be ordering)
and this computer upstairs doesn't want to load NCIX.com for some reason anymore. Worked fine, but slow for the last 45minutes and now it's deciding the crap out on me. Won't even hold a cookie on HardwareCanucks.com here so I have to use this computer downstairs to post this message.

Lmao, oh man. The sent and received bytes on the network connection on the computer that's plugged into the main line.........the main line coming into the house where all the other computers run off of....is in the hundreds. Whereas the other computer (this one included) are running flawlessly in the millions. Makes no sense to me how the main line can be buggered up and then the sub lines running off that main line are dandy. Just figures, the one time I NEED the internet this happens. We'll see how it plays out I guess.

Apologize if I'm missing anything but my head is spinning. I ended up placing the order and with the free insurance....I couldn't afford $70 more...this was already pushing the limit of the credit card. I really hope that wasn't a huge mistake.

Edit: ok now I'm really concerned about the insurance thing...is there a way to add it when they email me confirming/denying the price match?

Well the insurance is tricky I never get the full insurace with express RMA however I usually get the middle insurance that 1.5% of order or something like that but that is only due to where I live and how many trucks and hands it passes through before getting here....your shipment should only go through 2 sorting plants before arriving so it's not a huge concern...nice frikin build though...very nice

Hence I suggested you to stick with a 4870 and a P5Q-E. You could have ended the build in less than $2000.

Oh well.. its ok!! That will be a more future proof build. As far as I have known, if the price match is declined they will usually ask you to call them. Its happened to me couple of times, but more with just 1 product. As long as you didn't PM anything with a rebate, all should be approved. If you PM something that has any sort of mail in rebate or instant rebate, then they will decline, and as per my experience with NCIX, they usually offer the same deal to you, price + mail in rebate like what you had PMed from.

As long as its in stock PM is fine, I wouldnt worry about it. As for the insurance if they can squeeze it all in a heavy duty box then its not really a concern.

Heh yea I thought long and hard about the E and the single 4870, but my main purpose for this build was not needing to upgrade much or at all for a good while. The decision took a while to make because the E and 4870 did save a lot.

Yep the price match has been accepted and shipping address verified, but that's all that's been verified so far haha. Not been charged yet. Waiting on the tracker to change getting antsy .

Thanks for the reassurance about the insurance. I hope they'll be able to fit it in one box....maybe I should have gotten 2. D'oh!
