tracert issue
 

Hi ! I found something curious with my connexion using "tracert" command in MSDOS.
Whatever website i try, the first line seems to detect my modem (i think it's normal....), but the second line, there's little stars (-> *), and it tells me delay expired... (then it continues normaly).
So, where does that come from ? Since it detects my modem, the problem must be between it and the servers... Or is it a security thing ?

edit : i noticed Chrome seems to want to connect me to a proxy when i launch the browser, but i'm pretty sure it's not set that way... any idea ?

anytime it hits a firewall where tracert (ping really) isnt allowed you see the stars. You will see it continue normally after if it reaches the destination or stars *** the rest of the way if its untraceable.
