Canadian Web Hosting
I'm looking for a Canadian web host, and preferably one without a carbon footprint either.

I know a bunch of you guys recommend Host Gator, which has the "green" component, but it's in the USA.

It's only going to be for a small site, so bandwidth/storage isn't of huge concerns, though should be something fairly adequate. Probably end up running Joomla or similar CMS system down the road too.

netnation.ca? It's what my work uses. Based in Vancouver.

Rather expensive though for minimal disk space... at least compared to some US counterparts.

You did specify Canadian. And their business plus plan works out to about $8 /mo if you sign up for 2 years. For cheap, hostgator or hostmonster.

Haha well I was expecting Canadian hosting to be a bit more, but not a huge amount. It's not for me personally though and I think I'll just sway the person towards US hosting instead. She definitely doesn't want to spend much, that's apparent.

some have recommended Cheap Web Hosting Canada from $1/mo Web Site Hosting Company in Canada by Toonie Hosting offering cheap Web Hosting in the past - not a customer myself, so no opinion.
