3g network for field office Trying to convince a make-shift field office to pick up one of these babys CTR350 Mobile Broadband Travel Router | Cradlepoint Technology a hand full of laptop users trying to share one 3G wireless internet stick... heh... sounds like a goofy social experiment. I was going to suggest ICS, but the laptops come and go, and these folks are not computer literate. At any rate, if I get to play around with it I'll post my results. |
Heh... let us know what kind of data plan you get on it, and what kind of monthly bill you expect..... :) I know Rogers has an ericson wireless router that would basically do the same thing (basically a router with a rocket stick inside) and I suspect all of the other providers of cellphone tech internet either have their own version, or soon will. |

That one doesn't appear to be in stock.... Pretty sure this is the one they've been running for a while..... http://www.rogers.com/web/content/in...bile/rockethub |
dataplans are within reason.. i mean... you can only tx/rx so fast... and it's mostly all for email... i doubt they will use half their monthly data plan quota of 500MB. And it's Bell BTW, so rogers devices are out. I have a rogers stick myself and prefer their 3g speeds over Bell/Telus |

I only mentioned Rogers because I knew about the rocket hub... I'd be surprised if Bell didn't have their own. |

I guess it's all paid for by the company though ;) |
Cellphone broadband makes me break out in hives thinking about the potential costs..... :) |

I have the sneaking suspicion that it's the exact same ericson hub that Rogers is currently using. |
