Well Cable speeds have been bumped up to 15Mbps in Toronto area

I was wondering why my torrents were doing 1.6-1.8MB/s lately...and was hitting 2MB/s on ATI drivers. Simply awesome!

Looks like I'm going to go with their cable as well. Due to needing a dry loop and mlppp it cost's me 60 per month for dsl. For $5 cheaper I get cable extreme....kind of a no brainer although it's going to cost $130 for the modem and activation.

Wow! I wasn't aware of this. But then again both me and the missus have been going balls to the wall with our jobs lately so not alot of downloading going on. Way to go Teksavvy!

I got Cable through Techsavvy 2 weeks ago. It's AMAZING.

Speedtests hit about 20-25mbps down and 1mbps up.

Torrents download at up to 2 mBps (thats bytes, not bits)

No throttling / 200GB limit / Better than advertised speeds = WIN

To hell with rogers / bell...

Also, had MLPPP through Techsavvy for about a year (2 bonded DSL lines). Cable is faster though.

Just called Teksavvy and was told the following:

1. Available in Mississaugua and Richmond Hill next week

2. Couple more months before they head out east to Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, etc (which is what I want).

Figured the update might be useful to someone (but disappointing to me).

I wouldn't believe any of their outlines as they're dependent on Rogers. They originally said London would be ready by August. Mississauga was supposed to be done months ago. They're getting the run around from rogers...so it'll be a while if history repeats itself.

Even given Rogers 'run around' on the front end BS with UBB on the way who knows how long the competition will let TS remain competitive...Oh the irony. All supported and REGULATED by our own Government body; The CRTC.
