Hey guys,
I got an older D-Link DGE-530T gigabit network card and was wondering if it would be better than the Marvell 88E8056 on my motherboard. I realize that the onboard in PCIe while the D-Link is only PCI but I don't transfer at gigabit rates around my network because I have several switches that are not gigabit. I was wondering if the D-Link would have less latency and would be better for VOIP and maybe take less CPU cycles than the onboard.
Update: just pulled out the D-Link and punch the number on the chip in to yahoo and it turns out it's chip is also made by Marvell

, the chip is 88E8001. I still would like your thoughts on which one you think will work better.
