Decent Wireless adapter?

Looking for a decent wireless adapter (PCI or USB).

Something that can penetrate a few walls over about 50feet. I'd like it to be able handle a bit of online gaming and streaming TV (not HD quality).

Currently moving to a new place in St Johns that has a generic G-router with basic highspeed -I might consider something a little faster though. Plus Rogers has a bandwidth cap of about 50gb on the current package Not sure how much a few hrs a day of streaming tv and gaming uses.

Anyway I had thought about getting one of these-??? good idea or not?

I have one of those D-link adapters in my wife's PC. Works from 2nd floor to my router in the basement like a charm.

But it might be overkill if your router is only G-rated.

Yea I don't mind a bit of overkill as I'll probably upgrade the router soon enough anyway
Anyway Ive got my eye on Belgolas's adapter now in the FS section, maybe just what I need for a little bit of a saving.

I know it has been a couple of months but I'm looking for a wireless adapter too for my laptop..I don't know what to pick from Linksys WPC54GS Wireless-G Notebook Adapter and the D-Link WUA-1340, I'll be using a Linksys WRT54GL router..

i've been using one of these for a few months with no issues. [WUSB600N] Linksys USB wireless N adapter. Even Walmart carries them.

And for cards i've used the DWA-542 by D-Link.

The second diversity antenna actually makes a difference and is worth it.

If it's only to handle the Internet trafic, even if you put a faster wireless router, the bottle neck is the IPS connection. so it will not be faster and you will still be counted for the download , now if you transfert files true the wireless router from 1 pc to the other, that's not accounted in you mountly limits.
