I am absolutely convinced that Rogers or an affiliated provider is the issue. Same laptop can reach foldingforums.org at school, but not at home. traceroute shows hanging at the same spot each time at home, but never in another building that uses Bell. I am really wondering what Rogers will do to help me...I wonder if I get a discount lol...

If you get a discount it would be maybe if $0.20. It's not an issue with Rogers as the problem happens after it leaves Roger's network . I would think it's with the service provider between Rogers and the host of singlehop.net. You have to remember, different ISP take differing routes to get to different sites.

I can tell you from a stand point from working with an ISP, the issue will only get resolved if more people complain about it and I mean we are talking at least 1000+ people. When I worked for Time Warner doing Tech Support, in cases like this we would tell you (the customer) to contact the service provider of the problem server. What happens is you (the customer) contacts that service provider, they basically look at you like, you are not our customer and tells you to contact your service provider (Rogers), it's a vicious circle.

Here is trick. Contact the admin at Folding Forums and tell him the situation and that you know of others who have Rogers as an ISP that can't get to their site and it looks like the issue is with one of their hosting providers servers on the router that Rogers customers go through to get to the site and they should contact their hosting provider. Provider a traceroute to show this. Since they are a paying customer to singlehop.net, they can tell singlehop.net that because of an issue with one of singlehop.net's servers they could be losing a substantial amount of traffic to their website. This should get singlehop.net to look into the matter.

Keep in mind it's not a guarantee but it could help.
