 Dell M1330 I am going to be ordering this very soon, although it is more exp than the HP 14.1" at $800. I like the dell's chassis more. I have heard there are coupons or something that offer % discount. I have tried searching but whatever i type in it says invalid. So i come here for help. If someone has exp with that and how good is dell's warranty? if there is a problem is the laptop shipped away? Iv heard they are going to be changing this laptop this month? A refresh of some sort? here are the specs. | Yeah I'm going to be getting a m1330 too myself for school this fall but I'm waiting until Dell refreshes it with Centrino 2. It'll have faster and lower power consuming processors along with the possibility of hybrid graphics (onboard + dedicated). If you must buy it now, DO NOT get the 8400M GS. It has a known manufacturing defect making it run hotter than it should and thus prematurely dying. The work-around is increasing the fan speeds thus your battery life will suffer (might be noisy too). I really don't understand why Dell is still offering it but I guess they need to move all the old stock.

| When is the refresh going to be done? I am also right now at bestbuy looking at the Toshiba U400. It is $899 with a T5750 3gb 250gb 13.3". I actually might purchase this one.

| I'd hold off on the M1330 right now. We've had a few of our clients order one and they've all had problems of one sort or another (one had to be completely replaced and the others all have had to have parts replaced). I'd at least wait for the next revision so they can iron out all the issues.

| I would recommend waiting as well. There is a refresh coming I believe, which will eliminate the defects with the GPUs and upgrade to Centrino 2 most likely.
