Google has knocked off $100 from the Nexus 4 on the Play store. $250 for the 16GB version.

Have not been following this thread but even if its not for you Sam, this is an excellent deal on a brand-new phone.

+1 came here just to tell Sam that too. At $250 (or even $199 for 8GB), the Nexus 4 is the only phone to consider IMO.

So I would what, buy the phone and then set up a month to month contract with Bell?

Would I cancel my 'contract' and go for the 'new member' month to month and get the bring your phone deal? Though I need to stay on my parents account if I want to well get the employee discount on the plans so I would potentially have to go home to 'set up' my account again.

Does it mean they are discounting the phone for a month or two later on release of the N5, should I wait or go with the N4 and eventually sell the N4 if I like the N5 specs/pricing?

As the google store has 17$ shipping wonder if Koodo will price match or lower their pricing shortly as to not be beat out by google?

Don't you "save" 10% for BYOD? Honestly, the N4 is a pretty damn fast phone seeing as it's quad-core with 2GB of RAM and you're open to basically every modding opportunity possible since all the drivers and stuff are open source.

Sure, the "N5" or whatever it may be called is likely coming in Q4 (as the N4 launched around this time), or it could be the Moto X Developer Edition that becomes the new "N5". There hasn't been any solid leaks yet.

And since it's fully unlocked and works on all carriers, you can either keep it as a backup if you chose to upgrade later, or sell it (though I suspect you'll be at a loss).

I'm not quite sure, some people have been saying it's a flat amount, others have said it's a percentage you 'save' off the monthly bill.

I would simply give Bell a call and find out. I suspect that inventory will move quickly on these phones now, especially with all the college kids leaving mommy and daddy for the big scary semester.

Pretty sure you now save $20 per month with a byod discount, at least for rogers it is.

Shouldn't it be for specific plans, saving 20$ off a lite plan would seem a little bit too good of a deal for a Big 3 to offer.

I'm only looking at Bell and their boyd on their website says to come into a store or talk to a rep on the phone to find out more details.

The 20$ is only for the share ready plans, which are at least 85$+/month, otherwise it's 10% off (for rogers based on their website)
