Default Ultrabook suggestion needed

Haven't really kept up on the new ultrabooks so could use some advice. Actually need advice on 2 laptops.

The first is for a client, she will be carrying it around a lot as she will be using it for school so weight is an issue. Would like 14" min if possible and price under 2k as well as Office H&B needs to be included as well. She also wants it to be close to a desktop in performance and be Windows 7 (yeah, I know. She's an office manager and a pain). Currently looking at the XPS 13" as it meets most of the criteria aside from screen size.

The second is for one of her children, they are looking at the Twist or a Yoga. Something along those lines anyways. I heard the Yoga is the better all around laptop but would like to hear from you.

Thanks

Old reply, but I think the X1 Carbon with i5/4GB RAM would probably do the trick for her. 14", super light and thin, great warranty, etc. The XPS 13 is nice but it's actually a little heavier and it has a glossy screen (not a fan).

You can find the X1's for about $1300 on sale ($1700 for i7 and 8GB RAM) , and Office H&B around $200.

To suggest two alternatives, the Acer Aspire S7 and Sony Vaio Duo (SVD13215CDW) has a similar price but more recent hardware and an arguably better screen at 1080p.

We use a lot of Toshiba Portege Z930s here at work and they are a study little sucker and can be had for under $1000.

Here at work we have been getting a decent number of the Asus Zenbooks and they are quite nice.

The Sony Vaio Pro 13 looks damn nice, though it is priced a little higher than most.

We have X1 Carbon's at work for execs, both touch and non-touch, and I don't really like the screen quality on them. I find it has some major "screendoor" effect, but maybe it's just me. I don't really like the displays on any of our Lenovo hardware (T430 and W530).

They are designed to reduce glare. I can see why some people wouldnt like that, but I personally cannot stand glossy screens.

I know they are, but they have screen-door/dirty-screen effect way more than my U2711 at home. Also the colour reproduction on the X1's we have is horrendous to me.

Wow. They have more screen-door effect than a Dell IPS display? They must use an ultra anti-glare coating. I'll take any AG coating over glossy though, at least for mobile devices. The first thing I did with my iPad Mini and smart phone is buy an AG screen protector. Last three laptops all have had AG coatings.
