Kindle Fire finally hitting canada?

Kindle Fire HD - Stunning 7" Tablet

So with the nexus 7 out is this now a case of too little too late? Looks to me like the only thing it's got going over the nexus 7 is an HDMI port out (mini).

I would have been all over one of these when they first came out, but see absolutely no reason why I'd go for one now that other options are available.

No real point since you can install Kindle app anyway. Kindle Fire HD have no GPS and no 3G option. The only saving grace is that the 32GB WiFi only model is cheaper than Nexus 7. However, the 3G model is only $50 more.

In fairness this is the "kindle fire HD" as opposed to the original and/or the kindle fire 2.

Good grief, my second useless post of the morning. I should have actually read about it first, then ranted second if warranted.

Heh, your forgiven. I too am guilty of shooting from the hip and missing the target more times than I care to admit. :haha:

According to what little news I've heard on the subject the answer is a qualified yes. We'll apparently get it, but like Netflix .ca vrs .com it won't be the same content.

News sources are mostly blaming this on CRTC Canadian content rules, but I'm sceptical of that.... access to music services is also limited between one side of the border vrs the other and I'm pretty sure that's because of licensing rights as opposed to cancon problems.
