Does anyone know anything about the notebook:ASUS K55VD-DH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce 610M 8GB 750GB 15.6in DVDRW HDMI Windows 8 Notebook.

Haven't been able to find any feedback on this and I'm curious to find out how good it performs.

My question is why is there a Geforce 610M in there. It can barely do anything.

Yeah, agreed. The only thing worse is onboard.

However, my wife doesn't game. Just facebook, usual internet surfing, so that should be fine.

More curious about the response times as I've never owned a hyper-threaded quad core notebook.

Thought it should be pretty quick and keep her preoccupied while I squirrel away some toonies for a Titan, or

newer gen system, hehe.

I don't game as much as I could because I suck, so a gaming notebook would be a waste, though I don't

think I want a 610. Maybe a 670? Not for gaming, rrrrighhhttt.

Actually Geforce 610M is weaker than Intel HD 4000. So really it's there for absolutely no reason. You're better off with an ultrabook or one without a Discrete GPU. I'm guessing they did it for marketing lol.

I had an Intel HD 4000 ultrabook before and it did everything I expected fine. 1080p video play games on low settings etc...

Thanks for the input folks. Got it on an open box deal.

Now I have to find 1 4 myself.

Any suggestions for a good $1000 or less laptop. No 610 right?
