I'm can't help you with Sims 3, but of the 2 listed the Samsung has a better processor and graphics, albeit with a 14" screen instead of a 15.6".

Yeah, as long as you don't mind the pink colour, the Samsung is the better choice. I wouldn't try playing Call of Duty on it though

I certainly recommend the Samsung notebook for your needs, the screen itself may be slightly smaller but it has the same resolution of the Toshiba. If you can afford it, it should serve you well. Samsung makes some solid notebooks.

FutureShop's web page is crashing for me (probably the Black Friday sale), but for casual gaming you're definitely looking for an AMD A10 for its price/performance. (Search around for "Mobile Trinity" reviews.)

I did notice on FutureShop's sister store a better deal than your Samsung if you want the larger screen:

A little warning as another Samsung laptop owner - the bundled hard drive is SLOW. (I replaced mine with a Seagate Momentus XT and used the big hard drive in an external enclosure.)

Can you afford this one? Much better than all the others albeit more expensive.
