Default Microsoft Surface

I am curious whos going to get one of these when it comes out now that we know the price matches that of the ipad + 100$s for the case.

I have to say I'm tempted but I will definitely hold off until the Surface pro with full windows and a stylus come out.

So is anyone getting one, any chance of a review here. This is a big move for microsoft, getting into hardware, and while it may make a lot of the OEMs nervous it really intrigues me as from what I can tell from the photos and videos it looks quite nice.

No review here.

Also, the Surface isn't $100 more than the new iPad. Surface RT 32GB + Touch Cover = $499 iPad 32GB = $499.

For better or worse, I have every intention to purchase a Surface RT. I'm aware of the downfalls associated with the RT platform, however I have no need to replace my current notebook entirely.

The news story HWC posted and Microsoft's Canadian online store have different prices:

Quote:
Surface RT 32GB w/o Touch Cover: $519 ($499USD)
Surface RT 32GB w/ black Touch Cover: $619 ($599USD)
The third-gen iPad 32GB WiFi is $619 in Canada.

Surface looks good, but I'll wait for the prices to come down and get a feel for developer support before investing in it.

My mistake. I was $100 off. I blame Canada.

I might get the 2nd gen when it eventually comes out. I'm in the market for a tablet for watching 1080p movies and playing music. IIRC, the Surface doesn't have 1080p resolution, and so it's a no-go for me at the moment. I'm split between iPad and Transformer Infinity.
