Interesting new Asus devices; dual screen laptop and Padfone 2

Pretty neat products from Asus; a laptop that has two screens (one is a touchscreen), and a refined new Padfone.

The Dual screen laptop is petty nifty, though you'd have to be careful to remember that the lid of your case is a screen. You'd be surprised to see what people do or put on top of their closed laptop, imagine that on the screen...

I don't like the idea of "wasting" money on two screens with the Taichi - I can't see if you can ever use both screens at once which makes convertible tablets more appealing for me.
I'd rather get the Dell XPS 12 than the Taichi despite the Dell looking a little ugly with the hinge/bezel. I'm also one of those people guilty of putting stuff on top of my laptop lid so closing up the computer is a must for me on the go.

Just remember when Apple does both of these ideas 7 years from now after patenting them it still doesn't make Apple products "revolutionary".

Unless the horizontal view on the back of the laptop is exceptional I think the viewing angle may be an issue at times.
