Speaking of Thinkpads, looks like Lenovo has a very attractive lineup coming that'll give the X300 some siblings in other sizes; X200, X400, X500. But I have to wonder WTF is pricing going to be like. If the X300 is $3000 w/taxes, what's an X400 or X500 gonna cost? Who, other than Mac heads, have that kind of cash to drop on a laptop?

Unconfirmed: Lenovo's Entire New ThinkPad Line Leaked, X300 Gets Siblings

sswilson, it gets about 4 hours on the provided 3 cell battery. There is an optional 6 cell which I might get, that should give some interesting battery life numbers!

Default Thinkpads

I've been using thinkpads for 4 years now, and they are the best laptops out there, as far as I'm concerned. never had to repair one, even after doing some truly retarded things. after using Toshibas for two years befor that (never, ever, ever buy a toshiba laptop), Thinkpads were like a completely different device.

I personally would have gone for the "executive" with the hand stitched Japanese leather (at a very reasonable $5000)
