So... CM9 or 10?
I would give 10 a try Charlie...JB is such a boost (just popped it on my Infinity and its night and day faster).

If there are bugs, then go back to the ICS CM9.

Why aren't you syncing your contacts to your Google account? That's what I've always done, then you can never lose them. I believe there's a way to "copy" your local phone contacts to your Google account, but not 100% sure.

Thanks. Gah, I'll need to buy a micro-SD card. Never had the need for one, but oh well.

You mean the phone's USB 'storage'? Otherwise please explain what you mean by internal 'SD' card.

That's what we mean by internal SD

Btw I sold my Captivate for $160. Got a SGS2 for roughly $230. Blazing fast!

Yup, reading again made me understand that. It's halfway through the update.

edit: success. Thanks much.

awesome! enjoy! if you went with cm 10 they actively update it (daily) so you might wanna update every week or two.

all you have to do is download the latest nightly, boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache, install new nightly and gapps, then reboot. You won't lose anything.
