Acer a100-07u08c Mobile internet

Hi ,I just got an acer iconia tablet a100-07u08c as a gift.. I just noticed that the tablet has a Blocked sim card slot. I'd like to get online with it outside a wifi zone but I don't think its possible without a sim card , am I right? Or is there an internet supplier that could serve my needs ? Is there a way of using the mini USB with some sort of adaptor ? I've read that those usb sticks don't work on android ... sucks cause I can't return it .

Sierra wireless mobile hotspot is what i use. cost the same as a usb stick

Hey ,thanks for the reply . I found a service through telus that gives you a device which creates a mobile hotspots free with a 2 year plan... 15 bucks for 500 mb data p month... I wish videotron had that service since I have all my services through them ... oh well.
