Congrats Inik on the Note...I absolutely love it and I cannot see how I lived with the small screen my 4S had. The apps for the 4S were great. You should get it unlocked too for $30 so that if you travel you can use other SIMs.

I pay for some apps and I can't recall if some of the apps I list below are free or paid. Here is my list (leaving out some super-obvious ones like Facebook, Twitter, etc)

Logmein Ignition is good but expensive. (acess desktop computers)
Mapdroyd (maps)
Whattsapp (messaging..must have)
Beautiful widgets (paid but good widgets)
Dolphin browser (must have)
TSN and Score mobile
Globe, National Post, CBC
Battery widget (allows battery percentage in notifications area)
Crackle (free movies)
Documents to go (office doc program)
Dropbox (and set up auto camera uploads)
First aid guide
Flashlight
Flightview free (flight tracker)
Gasbuddy (gas prices...not Peri's mom after McDonalds)
Google sky map
i.tv (TV listings)
Mapquest (map program)
Mint (keep track of bank accts)
moboplayer (plays media files)
MX player (same as above)
myfitnesspal (keep track of calories and food)
National Geographic
Paypal (supports NFC chip in the Note)
Polaris office
Printershare (came with my Transformer)
Ringtone maker
Rockplayer lite (media player)
Shazam (identify songs playing on radio)
Speed Test (test internet speeds)
Swiftkey X (keyboard)
Sygic (map/navigation)
Tapatalk (forum app)
Temple Run (game)
Tim Hortons
Tone Picker (change notification sounds)
Tripadvisor (must have travel app)
Triposo (trip guides)
Tunein Radio (paid but radio station player and recorder)
Wikipedia
Yellowpages (find shopping)

If you run XBMC on an HTPC at home, grab the free xbmc remote app. It's great, turn wifi on and control your xbmc with your phone.

Also I love Team Viewer, have it installed on all my PCs, my phone and my parent's. Makes remote controlling computers a breeze.
