Default Which is the better machine?

Hi all, my faithful old laptop is dying so I need a new one. I have looked around and found some possible replacements but I have a hard time finding out which of them is the best. So I was hoping that perhaps you guys could take a look at the 4 specs below and give me some feedback and advice as to which of them is the best in return for my gratitude?

I need a laptop that other than everyday stuff and school work also can do some gaming. I know that some will argue that unless you have a GTX 560 as minimum you won't be able to do anything but that's not quite my experience. I don't need to run the latest FPS games (e.g. BF3) with 200fps but some power would be nice. For instance I'm looking at Diablo 3 and would like a good or decent gaming experience - but also games like LoL, Starcraft 2 and similar. RTS and RPG are my primary genres.

1. HP HP Pavilion DV6-6B20EO
15,6" 1366 x 768
640 GB HDD
8 GB Ram
AMD A6-3410MX APU 1,6GHz 4 cores
AMD Radeon HD6755G2, dual graphics 1 GB (does that mean that there are 2 of them? And is that twice as good?)
Windows Home Premium 64 bit
Unknown USB
792 USD

2. Acer Komplett.dk - Acer Aspire 5750G 15.6" HD
15,6" 1366 x 768
500 GB HDD
6 GB Ram
i5-2450M 2,5GHz 2 cores
GT 630M GPU
Windows Home Premium 64 bit
2xUSB2.0 - 1xUSB3.0
794 USD

3. Asus Komplett.dk - ASUS X73TK 17.3" HD+
17,3" 1600 x 900
500 GB HDD
8 GB Ram
AMD A6-3420M 1,5GHz 4 cores
AMD Radeon HD7670M 1GB
Windows Home Premium 64 bit
3xUSB2.0 - 1xUSB3.0
845 USD

4. Asus Komplett.dk - ASUS X53TK 15.6" HD
15,6" 1366 x 768
500 GB HDD
8 GB Ram
AMD A6-3420M 1,5GHz 4 cores
AMD Radeon HD7670M 1GB
Windows Home Premium 64 bit
2xUSB2.0 - 1xUSB3.0
880 USD

Finally, I've seen that some computers have either 2 similar or 2 different graphics cards. How should one read that? Does it mean that you can combine the power from the 2 or how..? Thankyou

I would go with #2, I like i5's, not sure on the power of the 640M GPU though.

the #4 one has a larger screen with a higher resolution which is nice, but on the other hand will suffer more from a GPU limitation. My personal vote goes for #2.

#3 is the best machine you list, especially if you are looking for a desktop replacement. #1 is a helluva value. I am partial to AMD though, I doubt you'll feel any difference between a mobile Intel i5 and 4 core AMD.

As for the 2 graphics cards, most have one that is IGP which is integrated into the chipset and it switches off when the dedicated GPU kicks in. In the case of #1 in your choices, the IGP and dedicated will run in Crossfire so that is a very viable solution.

Any of these 4 will play nearly all games on decent settings and 1+ year old games on very high settings.

I kind of agree with adzsask, but not so much because it's intel, and more because it's not AMD. however, it is the least favourable of the 4, so I might have to put that aside and suggest #3 as it has quite respectable power for not being the highest cost.
and GT7R, don't you mean #3?

So what is wrong with the AMD processors? Would it be stupid to go for anything than the Intel ones? I ask because I don't know enough to compare them properly.. Will 1,5 og 1,6GHz be a limitation or is it fine when there are 4 cores?

The GT 630M of #2 is the lowest rated of the cards at notebookcheck.net, though I wonder how much difference there actually is between them when you also compare the power of the different processors? What is the most important..?

Based on this chart, I'd remove #1 due to GPU being lacking.
Based on this other advice, I'd favor the i5.

I don't quite like recommending Acer, but I guess this is where my recommendation goes for here.

I don't really know much about laptop GPUs and their strengths/weaknesses, so I'm not very helpful here, but I do know one thing for sure. I see DV6's at work with dead GPUs all the time, and that's people not even using it for gaming. I would highly recommend against going with that. My boss owns a fairly large GTA-located laptop repair company, and he says that they're pretty common for GPU problems. Nowhere near the DV6000/DV9000 problems however.

Nice read. It places the A6 as "mediocore" and the i5 as "good" in terms of gaming. So basically it means that unless you want to handle video editing and that sort of stuff, a faster 2 core CPU will get you further than a slower 4 core CPU. Now the question is, though, if the i5 processor makes up for the GT 630M GPU? Where is the tipping point? If we use Diablo 3 as the test subject.

I suppose the above both counts for laptop as well as desktop CPU's.

Edit: I doubt it'll be an issue but of course no one wants bottle necks.

If you check the other link I gave you, it basicly points out that there is very little difference between GT 630M and 7670M in SC2, unfortunatly no benchmarks were done with D3, but I had a little check with Batman: Arkham City and the conclusions were pretty much the same.
