Default Samsung Galaxy Note Review Comment Thread

It can't be classified as a superphone or a tablet but the new Samsung Galaxy Note strides within the distance separating these two categories by offering a unique blend of portability and functionality. Alongside its unique S Pen hybrid stylus, the Note offers up tablet-like features such as a large screen size and fast processor while retaining inbound and outbound cellular network calling. It sure sounds great but does this middle ground approach make this device a jack of all trades but a master of none?

+1. Im still waiting for the price to come down to $550ish for me to get it. Ive played around with it and the screen is just beautiful.

This thing is a hit among folks I know who have bought one. I have large hands so I don't mind holding it and using it. Screen is absolutely wonderful to use, especially if you like to surf the web.

That said, carrying it around in my pocket might be a pain. If I kept it in my jacket or something, it would be OK but keeping it in your pocket is pretty noticeable.

At least my Nexus doesn't seem so big now.

I've had one for a few weeks, great device, yes, it's big, but it's light, so it definitely isn't hard to hold and use.
The screen is phenomenal too, probably the best thing on the market right now on a smartphone.

The screen on the note is the same screen on my Galaxy S2X and unfortunately the screen does have some issues but its a damn nice screen to look at it.

People also think holding a larger phone is a nuisance but its actually quite comfortable.

What I want is a 7.0" version of this WITHOUT the cell phone capabilities along with a rubberized back. Now THAT would be the ultimate professional tablet.

I'd say the Playbook fits that bill perfectly.

Only problem is that it's a Playbook.
