Default Getting a new laptop need help

Okay so I need a new laptop for the summer my budget is 500-750. Needs to be 14" or smaller (preferably smaller) 5+ hours of battery life. I would also like to be able to play League of Legends on it but this is my lowest priority.

I was thinking of getting an eee pad transformer prime (with docking station) but then I realized I need to be able to use Garmin Mapsource software on it so it needs to be windows. So $500-700 (tax in) portable and decent enough performance to play LoL (which is pretty easy i3 SB with HD 3000 would probably do the trick).

I have done some looking around but I find mostly Acer stuff which I am not sure of the quality.

Can anyone help me find a deal?

Alright I have decided on an Ultrabook, rigth now the Acer Aspire S3 is the front runner due to price/performance. Does anyone else know of a Ultrabook around $800 (hoping I can find one on sale for under $750 over the holidays).

I've been out of the loop a bit, but weren't there Asus ultra books for that price range as well? I'd definitely go for those over an Acer.

great battery life and price(it goes regularly on sale on rfd), poor screen but the dell v131 is a business laptop (so you can count on their support).

Asus doesn't have anything near that price range w/ a 540m that i'm aware of, just 520's and intel integrateds, in fact I don't think asus has nything in the 13" form factor with anything over a 520m, they may have a something with a 525 somewhere. While he says playing games are his lowest priority and the 540m is nothing to write home about, it'll at least be able to run most things.

Or a cheaper price if you don't mind an i3.

Acer timelineX 13.3" i3 2330m 4gb ram 750gb gt 540m, on sale ($100 off) at staples for $529.99 starting today. I don't know if you will find a better price than that for what you are looking for with a gt 540m.

Staples

If they had that identical laptop with a 15.6" screen at the price I would be all over it.

Those Acer's have heat and throttling problems, FYI. It sounds like it's only a problem during gaming, but it's something to take into consideration.

My brother just purchased a Lenovo Y470 and it's a great unit, especially for the price Lenovo has them on for now. Nice build quality, great speakers, Nvidia GT 550M, good cooling with no throttling issues. You can get the quad version for just under $800. (LINK)

I like the Lenovo's, but i've heard horror stories of them taking 2+ months to ship recently which could be bad.
